The fire services' dedication to our Colorado communities has in large part gone unrewarded. Disaster Restoration, Inc. has first hand experience with this commitment and would like to recognize those vast efforts. To that end DRI has created a scholarship that is open to any child or grandchild of an active Colorado fire fighter or support personnel. The scholarship was founded in 2004 with the goal of providing scholarships for higher education to outstanding children and grandchildren of Colorado’s active fire service personnel. This scholarship is intended to reward students for exceptional achievement, above and beyond their peers. One scholarship of $10,000 was awarded in 2005 and four awards totaling $20,000 were awarded in 2006 and 2007. In 2008 DRI has awarded 3 scholarships totaling $20,000.
