| Smoke Residue Removal |
Disaster Restoration, Inc. has been responding to the unique challenges presented in the fire residue clean up arena since 1986.
Not all fire damage odors, residues and clean up can be handled in the same fashion. There are complex variables
which comprise each situation. Was it plastics, wood, rubber or a combination of many items which burned?
That is why Disaster Restoration, Inc. has multiple "Certified Restorers" (accredited by the Restoration Industry Association) on staff. Their specific knowledge and understanding
will ensure a successful outcome. Whether your residue is the result of anything from a large structural burn to a small kitchen fire our staff can
assist at any and all levels. |
Dry Ice Blasting
If the situation is deemed appropriate DRI can utilize a cleaning technology called dry ice blasting (or cryoblasting) that uses compressed air to accelerate frozen carbon dioxide (CO2) "dry ice" pellets to a high velocity. Instead of using hard abrasive media to grind on a surface (and damage it), dry ice blasting uses soft dry ice, accelerated at supersonic speeds, and creates mini-explosions on the surface to lift the undesirable item off the underlying substrate. The pellets are made from food grade carbon dioxide that has been specifically approved by the FDA, the EPA and the USDA.
